Lutheran Church – Canada
is the church body to which we belong. It is made up of congregations across Canada who walk together according to a common confession of faith and work together to accomplish what Christ has commanded: to share the Good News of Jesus in our own homes, community and elsewhere. We joyfully support the work and spread of the Church in Calgary, across Canada and around the world.
Grace Lutheran Church
has been in the Glamorgan area since 1950. It's original building site was in the area of the Crowchild Trail and 33rd Avenue interchange. Upon expansion of Crowchild Trail in the late 1970's and early 1980's, Grace moved to its present location on Sarcee Road SW. There, a new church facility and independent living seniors residence were constructed, and dedicated in 1982. Since, we have been blessed to require expansion of our parking area in the late 1990's and expansion of our building in 2006. God has been good and has blessed us richly.
We are grateful to have provided a place where the citizens of Calgary, and others, can come together to worship the Lord, receive instruction in His Word, receive the benefits of His Sacraments, and find Christian fellowship and love.
Grace also serves our community by housing homeless through Inn From the Cold, by providing nutritious meals to those in need through Calgary Community Kitchen, by assisting those in need through Neighbourlink, and by providing affordable housing to seniors through Grace Lutheran Manor.
All glory be to our Lord!
